Discover the Power of VI Peel

Transform your skin with VI Peel at The Vitality Institute. Our six specialized formulations target various skin concerns, including pigmentation, sun damage, acne, scarring, and signs of aging. These painless, medium-depth peels are safe for all skin types and tones, delivering noticeable results in as little as seven days.

VI "Medium-Depth" Peels penetrate the dermal-epidermal junction, reaching the papillary dermis to effectively address skin issues. As shown in the graphic, melanin, which gives our skin its pigment, can overproduce and cause hyperpigmentation or spots. VI Peels lift and exfoliate these pigmented skin cells, allowing your body to produce healthier, less pigmented new cells. This exfoliation process also smooths your skin's surface, creating a softer, smoother texture.

Chemical Peels Q & A

What type of chemical peels do you offer?

We proudly offer a wide variety of chemical peels. You can choose the one that best fits your needs. After a quick exam and discussion of your concerns and goals for your skin, we can recommend the facial service that is best for you.

What are the types of Chemical Peels?

There are three main types of chemical peels. A superficial, or light, chemical peel is the mildest. It treats fine lines, acne, acne scars, uneven pigmentation, and dry skin. This is usually done with an alpha hydroxy acid like glycolic acid or salicylic acid. Patients may experience a slight stinging or warming sensation during the treatment. Afterwards, the clinician will wash the solution off and apply lotion to moisturize and sooth the skin.

Medium peels are slightly more involved, but not as intense as a deep peel. This peel targets the layers of skin below the surface. This is a great choice for treatment age spots, pigment discoloration and freckles. Patients may experience stinging and burning sensations. For optimal results, usually a series of 4-6 treatments is required, spaced 3-4 weeks apart.

Lastly, we have deep peels. These peels are stronger and remove more layers of skin. Therefore, they produce more dramatic results. However, they also have a longer recovery. Deep peels are best for treating stubborn blemishes like scarring, skin pigmentation, and fine lines and wrinkles. A deep peel can only be done once every 6 months, due to the intensity of the treatment.
